About Ihlan Magloire

Born and raised in Florida to Haitian and Venezuelan parents, Ihlan Magloire is a versatile guitarist, producer, and music director whose work bridges cultures and genres. While he didn’t come from a musical family, he grew up surrounded by the sounds of Caribbean and South American music—an influence that continues to shape his artistry today.

Ihlan studied at the University of North Florida, earning a degree in Music Technology. During his time there, he began mixing and mastering audio for Sofar Sounds Jacksonville, teaching private students, and performing throughout the city’s music scene. Shortly after graduation, he joined The Voice finalist Niki Dawson and a group of Jacksonville musicians for a residency in South Korea. From there, he went on to tour internationally, including a contract with the B.B. King Allstars aboard luxury cruise ships, and later performances in Dubai, Sweden, Portugal, and beyond.

Now a full-time musician, Ihlan balances a dynamic career as a performer, producer, and collaborator. He leads his own project, Coyboi (with vocalist/songwriter Cortnie Frazier), while also writing, arranging, and music directing for other artists. His performance credits include Anita Wilson, Makenzie, Olivia Donaldson (Six the Musical), Jeff Bradshaw (Patti LaBelle), Jeff Ryan, Love Culture, The Bethel Church, Hillsong United, the Florida Fellowship Super Choir, Matte Sounds, and the B.B. King Allstars.

Ihlan has also appeared on major festival stages, including the Jacksonville Jazz Festival (2022, 2024), Jacksonville River Jams (2023, 2024), opening for Shaggy, and Flipturn’s Playground Festival. Whether on stage or in the studio, he brings creativity, precision, and soul to every project.
