About Ihlan Magloire

Ihlan is a musician born and raised in Florida of Haitian and Venezuelan parents. While he did not come from a musical family he grew up listening to so much of the great Caribbean and South American music which is constantly influencing him. Ihlan studied at the University of North Florida, where he was studying music technology. During his studies he began working mixing and mastering audio for So Far Sounds Jacksonville, and teaching private students. While in college Ihlan began performing in the Jacksonville Music Scene, and began to play guitar more than working with audio. A few months after his graduation Ihlan had began making music with Niki Dawson and soon they were invited to South Korea to fulfil a residency contract with some other local Jacksonville Musicians. Once the contract was over Ihlan spent a few months playing in Jacksonville and then went to do a cruise ship contract with the B.B King Allstars. After his contract he had continued to perform while also being invited to play in places such as Dubai and Sweden.

Ihlan is now currently playing music full time, producing his own projects(such as Coyboi in which he works with Vocalist/Songwriter Cortnie Frazier), and also writing, arranging, and music directing for other artists. Some notable performers Ihlan has played with have been with Olivia Donaldson(Six the musical), Jeff Bradshaw(Patti Labelle), Jeff Ryan, Love Culture, The Bethel Church, Hillsong United, the Florida Fellowship Super Choir, Matte Sounds, and The B.B King Allstars. Some notable festivals Ihlan has played have been the Jacksonville Jazz Fest 2022 and 2024, Jacksonville River Jams 2023 and 2024, opening for Shaggy, and Flipturn's Playground Festival.
